Completing cancer treatment is a significant milestone — but it is not the end of your care journey. Survivorship follow-up is a structured programme designed to monitor for disease recurrence, detect late treatment effects, and support your physical and psychological recovery. At our centre, follow-up schedules are individualised based on cancer type, stage, treatment received and risk of recurrence. Typical follow-up involves regular clinic reviews, blood tests (including tumour markers), and imaging at defined intervals. We also address late effects of treatment — such as neuropathy from chemotherapy, bone density loss from hormone therapy, cardiac effects from anthracyclines, and psychological impact. Health promotion advice (exercise, diet, smoking cessation, vaccination) is provided at every survivorship visit.
