CHOP (Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, Prednisolone) and R-CHOP (with Rituximab added) are among the most well-established chemotherapy regimens in oncology. At Dr. Joshi's Cancer Centre, CHOP and R-CHOP are used in the management of aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, including Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). Dr. Joshi personally oversees each cycle — reviewing blood counts, adjusting doses for organ function, and managing side effects proactively with anti-nausea support, growth factors and infection prevention. The addition of Rituximab (a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20) in R-CHOP has significantly improved outcomes in eligible patients. Treatment cycles are typically administered every 21 days, and the number of cycles is determined by disease stage and response.
