Adjacent to the main operation theatre, our minor OT is used for day-care procedures that require a sterile environment but do not necessitate general anaesthesia. Common procedures performed here include bone marrow biopsies, ascitic or pleural taps, dressing changes and port care. The attached recovery room allows patients to rest and be monitored for 1–2 hours after any procedure before being discharged or transferred to a ward.
